One lone American's trip to South Korea. Armed only with a few years'experience in the language, some friends' phone numbers, and a corporate email address, he boldly ventures into a "new world" (technically it's older).

I bought a camera!
Here are some of the pictures it took:
You can see some more at this link:
Facebook Album
1)Me with a cool looking security guard.
2)They had some random exercise equipment by the sidewalk, so I tried it out.
3)There was also this boat thing in the middle of the street.
4)The very kind family who I'm staying with. I guess now is an appropriate time to mention that Sangmi is pregnant!
5)The sign says "Insadong cultural heritage street is under construction.
Sorry if the construction makes things uncomfortable.

Wow.... very clean and beautiful city. Who is the lady?? She's not the pregnant one right? That would have been a bit quick.....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some of the country side. Good to SEE you! Oh.... no more flips on the concrete ok?? You don't want to cut your fun short by getting to know their nurses.... oh....never mind.....Love you... be safe and God bless.
It is very clean, but the sky isn't really a true blue if you noticed. The lady is Sang-mi, who's married to Sang-gyun (right in the picture), and she's like really pregnant (whoa) and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNo, I meant the lady you are with and other photos of her on your facebook.....
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun exploring, and getting to know the city, seems like you learned the easy way an expectation by the shop owners and police, of private areas of a building. Being alert and aware of the area and people around you when in a country or area that is new to you is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI really like it that I can keep up with you through this thing. Helps a Mom's heart ; )
ReplyDeleteBe the best example that America has to offer. You represent millions of people in their eyes. Love you!
